My first year at STRAT7 Incite: Preparing to move Stateside

In March 2025, I started in the STRAT7 Incite Health team, and the past 12 months have been a full immersion process into my new role. Now exactly one year later, I am preparing to move my life from London to New York to join the US team. This seemed like the perfect moment to reflect and share the 5 personal highlights across the past year that have allowed me to get to this point.

I am super excited for my next chapter and looking forward to being able to meet up with clients, partners, and colleagues in-person across the USA.

We have some great in-person opportunities coming up, including a Health Roundtable in Boston on April 16th from 5-7.30pm (drop me a note or send an email to events@strat7.com if you are interested in joining).

In the meantime, please enjoy my 5 highlights from the past year:

Learning the Incite Way: Within my first month at Incite, Elaine and JT ran an intense 2-day training on the infamous ‘Incite Consulting Tools’ that I have used every day since. These tools have shaped how I approach clients’ challenges and improved my critical thinking skills both inside and outside of work.

Bringing my experience to Incite: I had the opportunity to give back to the Incite team within my first few months by applying my background in Anthropology to design an Ethnography into Menopause – and support Lizzie and Maria to build insights around the pros and cons of traditional vs digital ethnography. These findings were part of a paper STRAT7 presented at the EPHMRA conference last year – which I was able to help shape the narrative for based on my experience presenting at the same conference in 2024.

Building relationships: Over the past 12 months I had a few opportunities to meet the US Incite Health team in person, as well some of our US clients, across Philly, Boston and NY. It was great to bring these relationships to life with colleagues and partners that I have been working with every day over the past year – these in-person occasions strengthened our ability to deliver work efficiently.

Collaborating across STRAT7: One of the standout visits I had to the US last year was for a workshop with our sister agency STRAT7 Crowd DNA for a top 10 pharmaceutical company, exploring how cultural context is key when launching products in healthcare. We applied these thought starters specifically to Immunology and I look forward to facilitating more workshops like this across different therapy areas. Crowd DNA brought a new perspective to the Health space that challenged our thinking and highlighted the importance of cross-collaboration to keep our strategic insights grounded in the real world around us.

The final hurdle: As the final part of the journey, with lots of support and advice from people at Incite who have been through the process, I secured my visa to work in US… so here I come to the Big Apple! I can’t wait to explore the city, see lots of Broadway shows, and find the perfect NY bagel (all foodie recommendations are very welcome)
